Barrister Asad Ahmed, Head of Chambers at H. Khairi Law Associates, is a third generation lawyer who primarily focuses on constitutional law as well as civil and commercial litigation including, but not limited to; civil service laws, property law and family law. An advocate of the High Courts, Asad has represented some of the country's largest commercial entities as well as a number of high-profile individuals in a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
Asad previously worked in Islamabad at the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of Pakistan as Associate Lawyer to the Federal Law Secretary. He was responsible for multiple legal affairs of the Secretary Office, and assisted in furnishing opinions sought from the Law Ministry by various Divisions of the Federal Government on important constitutional and legal matters. He directly assisted the Federal Law Secretary during Parliamentary Standing Committee meetings, meetings of the Cabinet Committee for Disposal of Legislative Cases (CCLC) and Cabinet Committee for Institutional Reforms (CCIR) as well as other key meetings held at various high-level forums including the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Asad passed Bar School and was called to the Bar of England and Wales at Lincoln's Inn, London. He holds a Master of Laws (Bristol), a Bachelor of Laws (London) and is an accredited Civil/Commercial Mediator from ADR ODR International.
Apart from his professional life as a litigator, Barrister Asad Ahmed also regularly plays polo and is a certified cricket coach from the International Cricket Council (ICC).
